Our world and humanity are globally challenged by geo-political wars, cultural conflict, climate crisis, and technological advances disconnected from societal needs.
We need to develop geo-political models that prioritize justice, compassion, and sustainability for peace. For interfaith and intercultural dialogue, we need to strengthening collaboration across faith traditions and cultural perspectives to address shared challenges. Responsible policies and practices to protect the planet and future generations have to ensure environmental stewardship and sustainability. Addressing systemic injustices and fostering resilience in marginalized communities will be key to protecting our democracies. Technologies, especially Artificial Intelligence that is rapidly changing our everyday life, need to be co-designed by all parts of society negotiating, discussing and shaping futures.
For this, we need the best from rationality, science and technology on the one hand; and we need the best from intuition, empathy, compassion, wholeness, and healing on the other. The inspiration of marrying these two comes from Benedictine monk and mystic Bede Griffiths.
